Migrating from OneSignal to Pushizo
Pushizo offers tools and a familiar API surface designed to make migration easier for teams using OneSignal.
This page only describes Pushizo's own features; we recommend evaluating whether a product fits by comparing it against your own requirements. The technical details are in the migration guide in the documentation.
Features that make migration easier
Subscriber import tool
The npm run migrate:onesignal command pulls device (player) records from the OneSignal REST API page by page or through a CSV export, converts them to the Pushizo import format and can import them directly.
Notification fields with the same names
Fields such as headings, contents, subtitle, url, data, buttons, big_picture, the ios_* fields, android_channel_id, thread_id, send_after and delayed_option keep the same names.
Familiar subscription types
The subscription-by-token endpoint accepts OneSignal type names such as iOSPush, AndroidPush and ChromePush.
Similar SDK methods
The Web, iOS, Android and Flutter SDKs keep method names such as User.addTag, addAlias, addEmail, pushSubscription.optIn and InAppMessages.addTrigger; the namespace becomes Pushizo.
What changes during migration
- Authentication uses a Bearer API key.
- Endpoints start with the /v1/apps/{app_id} prefix and targeting fields are grouped in a target object.
- The migration tool only moves subscribers; templates, segments, journeys and in-app messages are recreated.
- APNs, FCM and other provider credentials are entered again in the Pushizo dashboard.
Migration steps
